As we enter the winter season in earnest and the remaining holidays are ahead of us, our staff is preparing for 2020!  As I pen this opening to this newsletter, we just had a record attendance day yesterday and that is amazing after celebrating our 5th Anniversary this summer!

Now, let’s chat about all of the offerings and events we have planned for you in the coming quarter which are designed to catapult you into the next level of fitness!

 -Our big news this fall was winning first place as Grand County’s Best Gym/Fitness Center thanks to all of you!

-We also completed our 5th annual Ski Preparation Program packed to the brim with members excited to train for another excellent winter sport’s season.

-Our 5th annual “Move It and Lose It” Challenge is underway as we speak with eight teams this year setting themselves up for a fantastic 2020, physically, mentally and avoiding that classic five-seven pound holiday weight gain by countering it with solid workouts, reasonable dietary programs and consistency of both.  The Challenge completes on the 15th of December and we are expecting record results.

-Our annual 30-Day Free Membership Trial will begin on January 13th through February 9th, 2020.  This is an ideal opportunity for those that have been on the fence about beginning their fitness journey to try out the club for 30 days, have full use, including the open fitness floor and all large group exercise classes, and then pull the trigger to join this amazing community.  Think of those you know and love and pass on the word!

-Our 5th annual “Winter Training for Cyclists” will begin Saturday, March 28th – Saturday, May 16th, 2020.  This is an outstanding program designed to prepare our avid cyclists for spring and summer riding and for many who may not be serious cyclists, but choose to challenge themselves in this rigorous program.  Our program begins with one hour rides progressing gradually to two hour rides as the program completes.  We will enhance the program with new cycling videos which we utilize during the rides which are filmed by elite riders from all over the world.  Registration for this program will begin the beginning of March, there is a $10/fee per class, 8-classes and we do fill up every year.  Make this the year to put this on your list of challenges

-We are hoping that our New Member Ambassador Program will really begin shining particularly during our 30-Day Free Membership Trial and that you will take advantage of the “Bring a Friend Anytime” program we implemented this fall.

-Our Shining Stars Foundation event this fall was a huge success raising over $3,400.00!

-We purchased a Concept 2 Ski Erg Machine that has been getting some solid use, but we would love to see more of you giving it a whirl–it is a great cardiovascular workout.  *Remember, that there is a resistance dial on the vertical base which allows you to adjust the amount of resistance.  If you need assistance operating the Ski Erg, please request assistance from our wonderful MLF staff.

-During the months of January and February 2020 we will be presenting several health/wellness/fitness workshops.  Please note the Calendar at a Glance for dates and times.  These workshops are professionally designed and presented and are created to provide you, our valued member, with cutting edge research and information.  Please take advantage of the educational opportunities which will enhance your fitness journey.

-We added an additional Mat Pilates class to our large group exercise program schedule.  This class format is offered twice a week now on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30AM.

-We are adding additional Pilates Reformer SGT (small group training) as many of you have discovered the incredible benefits of Pilates Reformer Training.

-Gretta is teaching the 7AM Short Cycle on Wednesday mornings through April once again–great time to come in if you want to workout early but not at 5:45AM!

-We added Pachamama CBD Oils to our pro shop offerings–check out this excellent line of products.

-We may be offering the Barre Works again in 2020–I will keep you posted on the specifics.

-And, this is just the beginning of what promises to be an amazing fitness journey here at MLF in 2020!

    Jackie- great gym info! Checked the schedule at a glance and Monday @ 10:30 says Pure Stretch but thought that time switched to mat Pilates?
