As we enter the spring season in earnest and much of the winter weather is behind us, our staff is preparing for the remainder of 2020!  We are looking forward to a “reboot” of our business as this hiatus is hopefully winding down.

Thank you for all of your patronage, support, love and amazing community spirit throughout these unsettled times and we are hoping to be together again very soon!

Now, let’s chat about all of the offerings and events we have planned for you in the coming quarter which are designed to catapult you into the next level of fitness!

-Our 5th annual “Move It and Lose It” Challenge seems a long time ago now but was a huge success in 2019 and we fully intend to offer this challenge again this coming November.  Thank you to all who challenged yourselves and hopefully, you are still enjoying the results of that hard work!

We have postponed our 5th annual “Winter Training for Cyclists” until we are back in earnest.  All of you that paid in advance, know that your slot is safe and we will do our best to offer this program as soon as feasible.  This is an outstanding program designed to prepare our avid cyclists for spring and summer riding and for many who may not be serious cyclists but choose to challenge themselves in this rigorous program.  Our program begins with one hour rides progressing gradually to two hour rides as the program completes.  We will enhance the program with new cycling videos which we utilize during the rides which are filmed by elite riders from all over the world.  Registration for this program will begin the beginning of March, there is a $10/fee per class, 8-classes and we do fill up every year.  Make this the year to put this on your list of challenges

Boy will we need this program! We are hoping that our New Member Ambassador Program will really begin shining particularly as we are together again and that you will take advantage of the “Bring a Friend Anytime” program as well.

During the months of January and February 2020 we presented several health/wellness/fitness workshops.  Please note the Calendar at a Glance for dates and times of workshops we plan for the Fall 2020.  These workshops are professionally designed and presented and are created to provide you, our valued member, with cutting edge research and information.  Please take advantage of the educational opportunities which will enhance your fitness journey.

As dozens of you know, we have been very busy during this time producing exercise videos for you, our valued members and clients.  To date, we have over 31 and are full steam ahead to produce dozens more.  In addition to these great workouts, we have been enjoying group live on-line Zoom exercise classes and Zoom personal training sessions.  I suspect that we will continue producing videos throughout the year to supplement your programs here at the club as this has been a huge success!  And, that when you are traveling eventually, you will tap into our personal training on-line programs. Great job everyone!

We would also like to send out an additional challenge for the next two-three weeks to each of you—please keep track of the number of your workouts per week and keep track of all of your pushups you are performing weekly.  Once we are ready to fly again, we will reward those who worked out the most during this time period and those that performed the most pushups.  Pushups may be full or modified and you might want to strive for one to two more each week!  What will your goal be for these next few weeks?!

And, even during this challenging time in our lives, we have actually added new formats to our group exercise schedule via the video exercise programs you have been receiving weekly.  As I pen this note to you today, we have added three more exercise program formats (i.e. we regularly offer 12 formats and 30 group exercise classes/week).  And, next week, I am adding another format.  One specifically for those of you that prefer to workout on the fitness floor—all body weight training keeping you in fighting shape for the heavy equipment very soon!

We are so excited to continue to be a part of your lives.  As we enter our 6th year, we could have never predicted the last several weeks, but will soldier onward because you are why we are here and where we want to remain. Please let us know if there is any way we may improve or enhance your fitness experience as we are here for you!  We always reflect on each and every one of you and what an important part of our MLF community you are as well as the Grand County community.  Thank you for being you and enjoy this edition of our newsletter!
