Our second anniversary was June 23rd and we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all of your support and patronage! We are moving full steam ahead for the rest of 2016 and beyond and are excited to continue providing the highest quality fitness experience to you our valued members!
We are in full summer swing in Grand County enjoying the sunshine, warmer temperatures and the great outdoors! Before heading out the door to hike, bike, fish, kayak, sail, or swim, come in to Mountain Life Fitness for your work outs! It is essential to maintain your fitness level throughout the summer months and this will only occur if you continue performing your regular fitness regimen here at the club. Not only to help prevent injuries during your outdoor activities, but to prevent loss of your general fitness level which begins to take place if you are not regularly performing your program.
Our second annual Spin for the Stars, Spin-a-Thon event for Shining Stars Foundation took place Saturday, June 11th raising approximately $1300.00! Thank you to all of you that participated in the event and those that donated to this amazing charitable organization.
The MLF Youth Strength and Conditioning Program took place in June/July and this year we added Tae Kwon Do instruction to our program format. Connie, one of our members, is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was our instructor. We are hoping to offer a Tae Kwon Do program for our members and the general public in the near future so stay tuned for more information coming your way.
Our first nutrition open house will be held on Tuesday, August 9th and our nutrition workshop series will continue in the fall. Lisa Turan, our in-house nutrition expert, will be presenting the topic of the importance of carbohydrates. These workshops are well worth your time and investment as the information is all cutting edge, scientifically vetted research which is focused upon creating a healthy and balanced nutritional lifestyle. The next essential oils open house will be held on Tuesday, August 16th from 8AM-Noon.
We continue to offer our member receptions throughout the summer months and our “Bring a Friend to Workout” days monthly, create shake samples at The Blend for your enjoyment introducing you to new, delicious and healthy recipes, and our step interval workshop is scheduled for Saturday, August 20th from 10:30AM-11:30AM and we will be offering another cycling workshop very soon to introduce those of you who are new to these activities to these amazing formats.
